My photography story started a fair bit ago when I was 12. My father came home with a digital camera. My parents had only used film cameras previously. I was intrigued and spent the better part of an afternoon with my sister taking pictures of every imaginable thing. There was something very satisfying about pressing that little button and capturing a moment forever, or so we thought. Unfortunately, there was no memory card in this little camera so none of those pictures were saved. Que tears. (It was our first introduction to technology. Did I mention I grew up in a conservative, religious cult?) Still, a gift was awakened. As my 8 siblings were born and grew, I became the unofficial family photographer capturing it all, and then graduating to filming and photographing my father's work for his later review.
